I have not installed so many drivers in my lifetime :P ...
Windows drivers say kaam chalta hai :P ...
This is for people who own good desktop machines with vendor graphics/audio cards and proper customer support :P
Asalamaelikum,
I just installed a ton of drivers and seems like I will have to do so again. I installed a fresh copy of windows, all the drivers, and then ran the windows update. Now every time I browse to a folder that has media files only, more specifically video files the system crashes. Any suggestions? :)
The sequence makes sense.I think Good share (Y).

WaS,
Never had this problem myself but googled it up. Could be a corrupt file header causing the system to crash when windows accesses it.
You can toggle that by
Start -> Run -> regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll
or
Start -> Run -> cmd -> regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll
It seems like you've got the latest service packs/patches installed. They could fix the problem or cause it as is the case with any Microsoft product. Try installing new XviD/DivX codecs and see if that solves the issue.
